be_v altogether_o subject_a to_o our_o grosser_n exterior_a sense_n but_o those_o which_o be_v be_v perceive_v as_o i_o say_v by_o our_o perception_n of_o sight_n and_o touch_v for_o although_o our_o sensitive_a perception_n do_v often_o commit_v error_n and_o mistake_n either_o through_o their_o own_o

be_v beyond_o matter_n and_o since_o matter_n be_v dividable_a nature_n be_v necessitate_v to_o move_v in_o part_n for_o matter_n can_v be_v without_o part_n no_o more_o than_o part_n can_v be_v without_o a_o whole_a neither_o can_v nature_n be_v material_a make_v herself_o void_a of_o figure_n nor_o can_v she_o rest_v be_v self-moving_a but_o she_o be_v bind_v to_o divide_v and_o compose_v its_o own_o motion_n in_o its_o own_o part_n that_o be_v no_o corporeal_a motion_n be_v sensible_a but_o of_o or_o by_o itself_o therefore_o when_o a_o man_n move_v a_o string_n or_o toss_v a_o ball_n after_o the_o same_o manner_n nevertheless_o it_o be_v probable_a to_o sense_n and_o reason_n that_o the_o infinite_a part_n of_o nature_n have_v not_o only_o interior_a self-knowledg_n but_o also_o exterior_a perception_n of_o other_o figure_n or_o part_n and_o their_o action_n by_o reason_n there_o be_v a_o perpetual_a commerce_n and_o intercourse_n between_o part_n and_o part_n and_o the_o chief_a action_n of_o nature_n be_v composition_n and_o division_n which_o produce_v all_o the_o variety_n of_o nature_n which_o prove_v there_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v perception_n between_o part_n and_o part_n but_o how_o all_o these_o particular_a perception_n be_v make_v no_o particular_a creature_n be_v able_a to_o know_v by_o reason_n of_o their_o variety_n for_o as_o the_o action_n of_o nature_n vary_v so_o do_v the_o perception_n therefore_o it_o be_v absurd_a to_o confine_v all_o perception_n of_o nature_n either_o to_o pressure_n and_o reaction_n or_o to_o the_o animal_n kind_a of_o perception_n since_o even_o in_o one_o and_o the_o same_o animal_n sense_n as_o for_o example_n of_o see_v there_o be_v numerous_a perception_n for_o every_o motion_n of_o the_o eye_n be_v it_o no_o more_o than_o a_o
hair_n breadth_n cause_v a_o several_a perception_n beside_o it_o be_v not_o only_o the_o five_o organ_n in_o a_o animal_n but_o every_o part_n and_o particle_n of_o his_o body_n that_o have_v a_o vegetable_a or_o mineral_n perception_n nay_o when_o one_o animal_n as_o for_o example_n one_o man_n perceive_v another_o he_o do_v not_o perceive_v his_o knowledge_n for_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o perceive_v the_o exterior_a figure_n of_o a_o creature_n and_o another_o thing_n to_o perceive_v its_o interior_a proper_a and_o innate_a action_n also_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o perceive_v exterior_a object_n and_o another_o to_o receive_v knowledge_n for_o no_o part_n can_v give_v away_o to_o another_o its_o inherent_a and_o proper_a particular_a nature_n neither_o can_v one_o part_n be_v general_a and_o infinite_a in_o nature_n but_o every_o part_n be_v finite_a can_v have_v but_o a_o finite_a and_o particular_a knowledge_n and_o that_o according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o its_o particular_a figure_n for_o as_o not_o all_o creature_n although_o they_o be_v compose_v of_o one_o matter_n be_v alike_o in_o their_o figure_n so_o not_o all_o can_v have_v the_o like_a knowledge_n and_o perception_n though_o they_o have_v all_o self-motion_n for_o particular_a creature_n and_o action_n be_v but_o effect_n of_o the_o only_a infinite_a self-moving_a matter_n and_o so_o be_v particular_a perception_n and_o although_o they_o be_v different_a yet_o the_o difference_n of_o effect_n do_v not_o argue_v different_a cause_n but_o one_o and_o the_o same_o cause_n may_v produce_v move_v thus_o to_o move_v thus_o nor_o perception_n from_o be_v perception_n though_o they_o may_v change_v from_o be_v such_o or_o such_o particular_a perception_n for_o the_o change_n be_v only_o perception_n of_o another_o part_n of_o his_o body_n as_o for_o example_n one_o of_o his_o hand_n know_v not_o the_o sense_n and_o perception_n of_o his_o other_o hand_n nay_o one_o part_n of_o his_o hand_n know_v not_o the_o perception_n of_o another_o part_n of_o the_o same_o hand_n for_o as_o the_o corporeal_a figurative_a motion_n differ_v so_o do_v particular_a knowledge_n and_o perception_n and_o although_o sensitive_a and_o rational_a knowledge_n be_v general_a and_o infinite_a in_o infinite_a nature_n yet_o every_o part_n be_v finite_a have_v but_o finite_a and_o particular_a matter_n be_v various_a and_o make_v several_a perception_n yet_o they_o can_v make_v several_a kind_n of_o sensitive_a and_o rational_a matter_n but_o when_o as_o perception_n change_v the_o part_n of_o the_o sensitive_a and_o rational_a matter_n remain_v the_o same_o in_o themselves_o that_o be_v they_o do_v not_o change_v from_o be_v sensitive_a or_o rational_a part_n although_o they_o may_v make_v numerous_a perception_n in_o their_o particular_a part_n according_a to_o the_o various_a change_n of_o self-motion_n but_o some_o may_v say_v if_o the_o particular_a part_n of_o one_o compose_a figure_n be_v so_o ignorant_a of_o each_o other_o knowledge_n as_o i_o have_v express_v how_o can_v they_o agree_v in_o some_o action_n of_o the_o whole_a figure_n where_o they_o must_v all_o be_v employ_v and_o work_v agreeable_o to_o one_o effect_n as_o for_o example_n when_o the_o mind_n design_n to_o go_v to_o such_o a_o place_n or_o do_v such_o a_o work_n how_o can_v all_o the_o particular_a perception_n and_o particular_a ignorances_n between_o part_n so_o there_o be_v more_o general_a perception_n
rather_o occasion_v the_o body_n to_o dissolve_v through_o the_o irregularity_n of_o such_o force_a motion_n but_o have_v discourse_v enough_o of_o this_o subject_n heretofore_o i_o will_v add_v no_o yet_o it_o be_v to_o be_v observe_v that_o many_o time_n they_o do_v not_o move_v together_o to_o one_o and_o the_o same_o perception_n for_o the_o sensitive_a and_o rational_a motion_n do_v many_o by_o rote_n and_o sometime_o the_o sensitive_a take_v pattern_n from_o the_o rational_a as_o in_o the_o invention_n of_o art_n or_o the_o like_a so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o necessity_n that_o they_o shall_v always_o work_v together_o to_o the_o same_o perception_n concern_v the_o perception_n of_o exterior_a object_n i_o will_v give_v a_o instance_n where_o both_o the_o rational_a and_o sensitive_a motion_n do_v work_v different_o and_o not_o to_o the_o same_o perception_n suppose_v a_o man_n be_v in_o a_o deep_a contemplative_a study_n and_o some_o body_n touch_n or_o pinch_v he_o although_o i_o allow_v that_o there_o be_v particular_a both_o rational_a and_o sensitive_a figurative_a motion_n in_o every_o part_n and_o particle_n of_o the_o body_n yet_o the_o rational_a being_n growth_n decay_n etc._n etc._n nevertheless_o all_o those_o action_n be_v perceptive_a that_o be_v the_o part_n which_o perform_v those_o action_n have_v perception_n of_o each_o other_o or_o else_o they_o will_v never_o agree_v to_o produce_v such_o effect_n the_o truth_n be_v that_o even_o the_o action_n of_o perception_n proper_o so_o call_v presuppose_v many_o particular_a perception_n between_o those_o part_n that_o concur_v to_o the_o performance_n of_o that_o act_n for_o it_o be_v impossible_a that_o both_o the_o rational_a and_o sensitive_a part_n in_o a_o compose_a figure_n shall_v make_v the_o act_n of_o perception_n without_o they_o know_v and_o agree_v what_o they_o be_v to_o do_v and_o how_o they_o be_v to_o perform_v it_o as_o i_o mention_v before_o and_o this_o much_o pure_a fine_a and_o subtle_a than_o other_o as_o much_o as_o pure_a air_n be_v beyond_o gross_a earth_n the_o truth_n be_v we_o can_v judge_v of_o nature_n action_n any_o otherway_n than_o we_o observe_v they_o by_o our_o own_o sensitive_a and_o rational_a perception_n and_o since_o we_o find_v that_o the_o sensitive_a and_o rational_a motion_n in_o our_o sensitive_a organ_n do_v work_v by_o the_o way_n of_o pattern_v or_o imitation_n we_o may_v sure_o conclude_v that_o some_o perception_n be_v make_v that_o way_n but_o that_o all_o other_o perception_n in_o all_o natural_a part_n or_o creature_n shall_v be_v after_o the_o same_o manner_n will_v be_v too_o presumptuous_a for_o any_o particular_a creature_n to_o affirm_v since_o there_o be_v infinite_a several_a sort_n of_o perception_n and_o although_o we_o may_v just_o and_o with_o all_o reason_n believe_v that_o all_o part_n of_o nature_n be_v perceptive_a because_o they_o be_v self-moving_a and_o self-knowing_a yet_o its_o motion_n but_o by_o the_o figure_n of_o the_o object_n that_o be_v represent_v in_o the_o eye_n for_o if_o you_o look_v into_o another_o eye_n you_o will_v plain_o perceive_v therein_o the_o picture_n of_o your_o own_o figure_n and_o have_v other_o object_n but_o such_o a_o optic_a perception_n as_o animal_n they_o will_v without_o question_n observe_v the_o same_o some_o will_v say_v those_o figure_n in_o the_o eye_n be_v make_v by_o reflection_n but_o reflection_n can_v make_v such_o constant_a and_o exact_a pattern_n or_o imitation_n other_o believe_v it_o proceed_v from_o pressure_n and_o reaction_n but_o pressure_n and_o reaction_n be_v but_o particular_a action_n can_v make_v such_o variety_n of_o figure_n other_o again_o say_v that_o the_o species_n of_o the_o of_o these_o creature_n be_v not_o subject_a to_o the_o perception_n of_o our_o exterior_a sense_n can_v exact_o be_v know_v nevertheless_o although_o our_o exterior_a sense_n have_v no_o perception_n thereof_o yet_o their_o own_o part_n which_o be_v concern_v in_o it_o as_o also_o their_o adjoin_v or_o neighbour_a part_n may_v for_o example_n a_o man_n know_v he_o have_v a_o digestion_n in_o his_o body_n which_o be_v a_o interior_a action_n he_o can_v know_v by_o his_o exterior_a sense_n how_o it_o be_v make_v but_o those_o part_n of_o the_o body_n where_o the_o digestion_n be_v perform_v may_v
