say_v james_n duke_z of_o york_z shall_v at_o any_o time_n hereafter_o challenge_n claim_v or_o attempt_v to_o possess_v or_o enjoy_v or_o shall_v take_v upon_o he_o to_o use_v or_o exercise_v any_o dominion_n or_o power_n or_o authority_n or_o jurisdiction_n within_o the_o say_a kingdom_n or_o dominion_n or_o any_o of_o they_o as_o king_n or_o chief_a magistrate_n of_o the_o same_o that_o then_o he_o the_o say_a james_n duke_z of_o york_z for_o every_o such_o offence_n shall_v be_v deem_v and_o adjudge_v guilty_a of_o high-treason_n and_o shall_v suffer_v the_o pain_n penalty_n and_o forfeiture_n as_o in_o case_n of_o high-treason_n and_o further_o that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v assist_v or_o maintain_v abet_v or_o willing_o adhere_v unto_o the_o say_v james_n duke_z of_o york_z in_o such_o challenge_n claim_v or_o attempt_v or_o shall_v of_o themselves_o attempt_v or_o endeavour_v to_o put_v or_o bring_v the_o say_v james_n duke_z of_o york_z into_o the_o possession_n or_o exercise_n of_o any_o legal_a power_n jurisdiction_n or_o authority_n within_o the_o kingdom_n and_o dominion_n aforesaid_a or_o shall_v by_o write_v or_o preach_v advise_o publish_v maintain_v or_o declare_v that_o he_o have_v any_o right_n title_n or_o authority_n to_o the_o office_n of_o king_n or_o chief_a magistrate_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o dominion_n aforesaid_a that_o then_o every_o such_o person_n shall_v be_v deem_v and_o adjudge_v guilty_a of_o high-treason_n and_o that_o he_o suffer_v and_o undergo_v the_o pain_n penalty_n and_o forfeiture_n aforesaid_a and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o say_v james_n duke_z of_o york_z shall_v not_o at_o any_o time_n from_o and_o after_o the_o 5_o of_o nou._n 1680_o return_n or_o come_v into_o or_o within_o any_o of_o the_o kingdom_n or_o dominion_n aforesaid_a and_o then_o he_o the_o say_v james_n duke_z of_o york_z shall_v be_v deem_v and_o adjudge_v guilty_a of_o high-treason_n and_o shall_v suffer_v the_o pain_n penalty_n and_o forfeiture_n as_o in_o case_n of_o high-treason_n and_o further_o that_o if_o any_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v be_v aid_v or_o assist_v unto_o such_o return_n of_o the_o say_v james_n duke_z of_o york_z that_o then_o every_o such_o person_n shall_v be_v deem_v and_o adjudge_v guilty_a of_o high-treason_n and_o shall_v suffer_v as_o in_o case_n of_o high-treason_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o say_v james_n duke_z of_o york_z or_o any_o other_o person_n be_v guilty_a of_o any_o of_o the_o treason_n aforesaid_a shall_v not_o be_v capable_a of_o or_o receive_v benefit_n by_o any_o pardon_n otherwise_o than_o by_o act_n of_o parliament_n wherein_o they_o shall_v be_v particular_o name_v and_o that_o no_o noli_fw-la prosequi_fw-la or_o order_n to_o stay_v proceed_n shall_v be_v receive_v or_o allow_v in_o or_o upon_o any_o indictment_n for_o any_o of_o the_o offence_n mention_v in_o this_o act._n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v and_o declare_v and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v and_o declare_v that_o it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a to_o and_o for_o any_o magistrate_n officer_n and_o other_o subject_n whatsoever_o of_o these_o kingdom_n and_o dominion_n aforesaid_a and_o they_o be_v hereby_o enjoin_v and_o require_v to_o apprehend_v and_o secure_v the_o say_a james_n duke_z of_o york_z and_o any_o other_o person_n offend_v in_o any_o of_o the_o premise_n and_o with_o he_o or_o they_o in_o case_n of_o resistance_n to_o fight_v and_o he_o or_o they_o by_o force_n to_o subdue_v for_o all_o which_o act_n and_o for_o so_o do_v they_o be_v and_o shall_v be_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n save_v harmless_a and_o indemnify_v provide_v and_o it_o be_v hereby_o declare_v that_o nothing_o in_o this_o act_n contain_v shall_v be_v construe_v deem_v or_o adjudge_v to_o disenable_a any_o other_o
