proclamation_n discharge_v the_o import_v of_o salt_n beeff_n from_o ireland_n into_o scotland_n william_n by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n king_n of_o great_a britain_n france_n and_o ireland_n defender_n of_o the_o faith_n to_o macer_n of_o our_o privy_a council_n messenger_n at_o arm_n our_o sheriff_n in_o that_o part_n conjunct_o and_o several_o special_o constitute_v greeting_n forasmuch_o as_o by_o divers_a law_n and_o act_n of_o parliament_n make_v by_o our_o royal_a predecessor_n the_o import_v and_o bring_v into_o this_o kingdom_n of_o any_o cattle_n from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o ireland_n be_v discharge_v and_o that_o by_o former_a proclamation_n emit_v thereupon_o the_o import_v of_o salt_n beeff_n from_o the_o say_a kingdom_n of_o ireland_n to_o this_o our_o ancient_a kingdom_n by_o any_o of_o our_o subject_n be_v likewise_o prohibit_v and_o discharge_v under_o the_o certification_n therein_o mention_v and_o we_o be_v resolve_v that_o the_o say_n law_n and_o act_n of_o parliament_n and_o proclamation_n shall_v be_v due_o execute_v and_o obey_v in_o time_n come_v therefore_o we_o with_o advice_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o our_o privy_a council_n do_v strict_o prohibit_v and_o discharge_v the_o import_v and_o bring_v into_o this_o kingdom_n any_o irish_a salt_n beeff_n by_o whatsoever_o person_n or_o person_n after_o the_o first_o day_n of_o march_n next_o to_o come_v unless_o by_o merchant_n who_o buy_v the_o same_o in_o ireland_n to_o be_v export_v and_o do_v according_o export_v the_o same_o to_o any_o foreign_a country_n out_o of_o this_o kingdom_n but_o no_o way_n to_o be_v sell_v dispose_v or_o make_v use_n of_o within_o the_o kingdom_n of_o scotland_n after_o the_o day_n aforesaid_a and_o that_o the_o say_n merchant_n who_o shall_v buy_v any_o irish_a salt_n beeff_n to_o be_v export_v in_o manner_n abovementioned_a shall_v on_o no_o way_n liver_n or_o put_v the_o examine_v on_o shoar_n at_o any_o part_n within_o this_o kingdom_n but_o shall_v keep_v the_o same_o on_o board_n of_o their_o ship_n or_o vessel_n water-born_a until_o the_o examine_v shall_v be_v export_v by_o they_o in_o manner_n foresay_a certify_v all_o such_o who_o shall_v contraveen_v the_o premise_n or_o reset_v conceal_v or_o make_v use_n of_o any_o of_o the_o salt_n beeff_fw-mi so_o import_v from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o ireland_n the_o examine_v shall_v not_o only_o be_v confiscate_v but_o the_o importer_n resetter_n vser_n and_o concealer_n thereof_o shall_v be_v otherwise_o punish_v as_o the_o lord_n of_o our_o privy_a council_n shall_v judge_v their_o transgression_n to_o deserve_v and_o we_o with_o advice_n foresay_a require_v and_o command_v all_o magistrate_n of_o burgh_n collector_n and_o waiter_n at_o the_o several_a sea_n port_n within_o this_o kingdom_n to_o see_v the_o premise_n due_o observe_v and_o exact_o put_v to_o execution_n as_o they_o will_v be_v answerable_a our_o will_n be_v herefore_o and_o we_o charge_v you_o strict_o and_o command_n that_o incontinent_a these_o our_o letter_n see_v you_o pass_v to_o the_o mercat-cross_n of_o edinburgh_n and_o to_o the_o remnant_n mercat-cross_n of_o the_o head_n burgh_n of_o the_o several_a shire_n within_o this_o kingdom_n and_o there_o in_o our_o name_n and_o authority_n by_o open_a proclamation_n make_v intimation_n of_o the_o premise_n give_v under_o our_o signet_n at_o edinburgh_n the_o twenty_o two_o day_n of_o january_n and_o of_o our_o reign_n the_o six_o year_n 1695._o per_fw-la actum_fw-la dominorum_fw-la secreti_fw-la concilii_fw-la gilb_n eliot_n cls._n sti._n concilii_fw-la god_n save_v king_n william_n edinburgh_n print_v by_o the_o heir_n and_o successor_n of_o andrew_n anderson_n printer_n to_o his_o most_o excellent_a majesty_n anno_fw-la dom_fw-la 1695._o
