By the King and Queen A PROCLAMATION William R. WHereas We have received Information That Edmond Ludlow commonly called Colonel Ludlow who stands Attainted of High Treason by Act of Parliament for the Horrid and Execrable Murder of Our Royal Grandfather hath presumed to come into this Our Kingdom and therein privily Lurketh and is Concealed We have therefore thought fit by the Advice of Our Privy Council to Issue this Our Proclamation And do hereby Command and Require all Our Loving Subjects to Discover Take and Apprehend the said Edmond Ludlow where ever he may be found and to carry him before the next Iustice of the Peace or Chief Magistrate whom We do hereby Require to Commit him to the next Goal And We do hereby Require the said Iustice or other Magistrate immediately to give Notice thereof to Us or Our Council And We do promise to him or them that shall Discover or Apprehend the said Edmond Ludlow for a Reward the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds And We do also hereby give Notice to all Persons that shall Conceal the said Edmond Ludlow or be Aiding or Assisting in the Concealing of him or furthering his Escape that they shall be Proceeded against for such their Offence with the utmost Severity according to Law. Given at Our Court at Whitehall the Fourteenth Day of November 1689.
