and_o their_o profit_n as_o long_o as_o there_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o hinder_v the_o good_a and_o comfort_n and_o salvation_n of_o his_o people_n either_o within_o they_o or_o without_o they_o he_o keep_v this_o power_n in_o his_o hand_n to_o curb_v they_o and_o to_o keep_v they_o down_o and_o so_o as_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o he_o must_v reign_v till_o all_o those_o enemy_n be_v under_o be_v the_o height_n the_o upshot_n and_o the_o sum_n of_o all_o to_o keep_v the_o word_n of_o god_n in_o the_o life_n by_o obey_v many_o there_o be_v that_o remember_v much_o of_o it_o that_o give_v assent_n and_o credit_n to_o it_o yea_o that_o pretend_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o affection_n to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o be_v indeed_o much_o take_v with_o many_o thing_n that_o be_v deliver_v rule_n of_o god_n and_o be_v a_o way_n and_o rule_v unto_o themselves_o and_o this_o be_v herod_n temper_n right_a he_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n glad_o he_o take_v some_o kind_n of_o pleasure_n in_o it_o and_o therefore_o out_o of_o doubt_n have_v some_o affection_n to_o it_o but_o when_o it_o come_v to_o practice_n and_o obedience_n there_o he_o fail_v he_o do_v but_o many_o thing_n at_o most_o he_o do_v not_o all_o that_o be_v deliver_v to_o he_o from_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o mar_v all_o and_o make_v all_o the_o rest_n worth_a nothing_o and_o so_o with_o you_o in_o this_o regard_n if_o you_o will_v have_v this_o sweet_a assurance_n in_o yourselves_o that_o you_o be_v give_v up_o to_o jesus_n christ_n by_o the_o donation_n of_o the_o father_n you_o must_v keep_v the_o word_n of_o god_n in_o your_o life_n by_o obey_v it_o you_o must_v not_o rest_v in_o this_o that_o you_o have_v as_o you_o conceive_v some_o love_n to_o it_o and_o that_o agreeable_a to_o your_o will_n humour_n interest_n end_n and_o so_o act_v according_o but_o you_o must_v serious_o consider_v with_o yourselves_o what_o be_v agreeable_a to_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o to_o the_o rule_n which_o he_o have_v there_o prescribe_v to_o you_o and_o to_o that_o you_o must_v conform_v how_o unsuitable_a soever_o it_o may_v be_v to_o your_o seed_n remain_v in_o they_o the_o spirit_n lust_n against_o the_o flesh_n so_o that_o they_o can_v do_v the_o evil_a that_o they_o will_v at_o least_o not_o all_o the_o evil_a that_o they_o will_v sanctify_v and_o renew_v can_v never_o give_v allowance_n to_o the_o act_n of_o sin_n and_o whereas_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a man_n be_v total_o addict_v and_o universal_o devote_v to_o it_o they_o act_v it_o whole_o and_o with_o every_o part_n and_o power_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o flesh_n it_o be_v not_o so_o with_o those_o that_o be_v renew_v and_o hence_o say_v paul_n it_o be_v not_o i_o that_o do_v it_o rom._n 7.17_o yet_o in_o the_o verse_n immediate_o before_o he_o say_v what_o i_o will_v not_o that_o do_v i._o so_o that_o there_o be_v a_o double_a i_o in_o paul_n i_o spiritual_a and_o therefore_o he_o assure_v it_o to_o himself_o as_o his_o peculiar_a i_o even_o i_o be_o he_o that_o blot_v out_o thy_o sin_n it_o be_v god_n that_o justify_v say_v the_o apostle_n rom._n 8.33_o and_o with_o relation_n to_o this_o act_n of_o he_o he_o be_v call_v a_o deliverer_n rom._n 11.26_o there_o shall_v come_v out_o of_o zion_n the_o deliverer_n and_o he_o shall_v turn_v away_o ungodliness_n from_o jacob._n for_o this_o be_v my_o covenant_n with_o they_o when_o i_o shall_v take_v away_o their_o sin_n god_n always_o keep_v they_o that_o belong_v to_o jesus_n christ_n from_o the_o evil_n of_o temptation_n and_o corruption_n and_o as_o god_n keep_v those_o that_o belong_v to_o jesus_n christ_n from_o the_o evil_n of_o temptation_n and_o from_o the_o evil_n of_o corruption_n so_o from_o the_o evil_n of_o affliction_n i_o must_v confess_v he_o do_v not_o keep_v they_o so_o that_o they_o be_v utter_o exempt_a from_o all_o affliction_n they_o have_v their_o share_n and_o portion_n of_o it_o many_o time_n as_o well_o as_o any_o other_o man_n many_o be_v the_o affliction_n of_o the_o righteous_a say_v the_o psalmist_n psal_n 34.19_o not_o of_o the_o wicked_a only_o but_o the_o righteous_a too_o yea_o their_o affliction_n oftentimes_o be_v more_o and_o great_a than_o the_o affliction_n of_o the_o wicked_a be_v the_o prophet_n david_n be_v too_o sensible_a of_o this_o so_o that_o his_o spirit_n fret_v at_o it_o and_o he_o be_v envious_a at_o the_o foolish_a as_o himself_o confess_v psal_n 73.3_o when_o he_o see_v the_o prosperity_n of_o wicked_a man_n their_o strength_n be_v firm_a say_v he_o there_o be_v no_o band_n in_o their_o death_n they_o be_v not_o in_o trouble_n like_o other_o man_n nor_o be_v they_o plague_v like_o other_o man_n no_o nor_o like_o better_a man_n their_o eye_n stand_v out_o with_o fatness_n they_o have_v more_o than_o heart_n can_v wish_v these_o be_v the_o wicked_a say_v the_o psalmist_n they_o prosper_v in_o the_o world_n but_o how_o fare_v it_o with_o david_n all_o this_o while_n why_o very_o say_v he_o i_o have_v cleanse_v my_o heart_n in_o vain_a and_o wash_v my_o band_n in_o innocency_n for_o all_o the_o day_n long_o have_v i_o be_v plague_v and_o chasten_v every_o morning_n and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o christ_n forewarn_v his_o disciple_n of_o that_o in_o the_o world_n they_o must_v have_v trouble_n there_o will_v be_v no_o avoid_n of_o it_o but_o yet_o however_o god_n keep_v they_o from_o the_o evil_n of_o affliction_n in_o the_o sense_n that_o i_o shall_v open_v to_o you_o in_o
