every_o ask_n no_o it_o be_v wisdom_n whereof_o james_n tell_v we_o in_o the_o place_n forenamed_a in_o express_a term_n it_o can_v be_v have_v but_o upon_o ask_v in_o faith_n so_o that_o whosoever_o be_v mean_v by_o son_n here_o he_o must_v ask_v in_o faith_n without_o which_o his_o natural_a improvement_n engage_v not_o god_n at_o all_o not_o but_o that_o such_o must_v improve_v natural_a expression_n in_o that_o text_n for_o not_o subject_v itself_o to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n still_o he_o destroy_v man_n for_o not_o do_v that_o which_o be_v altogether_o out_o of_o his_o power_n to_o do_v which_o be_v clear_a from_o the_o end_n of_o that_o seven_o verse_n where_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o mind_n and_o therein_o of_o the_o will_n obstinacy_n and_o of_o it_o be_v not_o become_v subject_n to_o god_n law_n be_v add_v in_o these_o word_n because_o it_o can_v or_o because_o it_o have_v not_o power_n namely_o to_o become_v subject_a or_o to_o subject_n itself_o to_o god_n law_n it_o must_v therefore_o be_v conclude_v that_o god_n destroy_v man_n upon_o any_o of_o your_o term_n whether_o for_o not_o will_v saving_o or_o for_o obstinacy_n perverseness_n etc._n etc._n do_v destroy_v man_n for_o not_o do_v that_o which_o be_v altogether_o out_o of_o his_o power_n to_o do_v and_o consequent_o that_o according_a to_o your_o own_o ground_n you_o inevitable_o plunge_v yourself_o into_o that_o very_a pit_n of_o absurdity_n which_o you_o dig_v yea_o into_o such_o a_o abyss_n as_o whereout_o you_o conclude_v no_o mediation_n of_o reason_n project_n etc._n etc._n can_v redeem_v yea_o by_o your_o very_a term_n the_o justice_n and_o equity_n of_o god_n in_o such_o a_o destroy_n of_o man_n be_v undeniable_o confirm_v by_o which_o reason_n strike_v so_o direct_o the_o root_n of_o your_o first_o argument_n i_o conceive_v it_o be_v clear_o remove_v nevertheless_o because_o there_o be_v such_o strong_a hold_v raise_v to_o stand_v by_o it_o i_o shall_v according_a to_o what_o power_n god_n shall_v vouchsafe_v i_o assault_v those_o also_o wherein_o for_o those_o high_a aspersion_n cast_v upon_o the_o consequent_a of_o that_o opinion_n which_o oppose_v you_o which_o you_o make_v so_o contrary_a to_o the_o tenor_n truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n etc._n etc._n compare_v these_o with_o what_o you_o say_v after_o in_o the_o conclusion_n that_o perhapse_n for_o the_o you_o quite_o forget_v what_o you_o have_v say_v before_o but_o that_o such_o a_o say_n rise_v up_o with_o such_o contradiction_n against_o god_n justice_n grace_n etc._n etc._n as_o no_o principle_n of_o reason_n common_a sense_n etc._n etc._n can_v reconcile_v etc._n etc._n this_o shall_v yea_o must_v be_v grant_v you_o yet_o all_o so_o far_o from_o the_o least_o disparage_v its_o truth_n as_o that_o it_o shalâ—_n have_v meat_n out_o of_o this_o eater_n for_o can_v the_o height_n and_o depth_n of_o god_n justice_n in_o way_n of_o condemnation_n be_v compass_v about_o by_o the_o reason_n and_o comprehension_n of_o man_n yea_o or_o angel_n they_o can_v not_o be_v themselves_o incomprehensible_a who_o judgement_n be_v past_o find_v out_o therefore_o to_o say_v they_o be_v without_o the_o line_n or_o sphere_n of_o the_o large_a create_a understanding_n be_v to_o give_v they_o their_o due_a valuation_n whereas_o to_o say_v that_o can_v be_v justice_n in_o god_n which_o no_o reason_n can_v reach_v this_o be_v to_o make_v his_o justice_n comprehensible_a and_o that_o we_o must_v believe_v nothing_o of_o god_n way_n above_o our_o reason_n and_o whereas_o you_o affirm_v â—t_a be_v as_o good_a reason_n to_o say_v god_n destroy_v man_n for_o not_o be_v god_n etc._n etc._n as_o for_o not_o believe_v because_o man_n can_v no_o more_o do_v the_o one_o than_o the_o other_o etc._n etc._n first_o if_o it_o be_v grant_v that_o man_n have_v no_o more_o power_n to_o believe_v then_o to_o become_v god_n etc._n etc._n it_o follow_v not_o therefore_o that_o we_o as_o good_a reason_n to_o destroy_v man_n for_o not_o be_v god_n or_o for_o not_o create_v as_o for_o not_o believe_v for_o in_o adam_n in_o who_o you_o after-say_a all_o his_o posterity_n stand_v man_n in_o order_n to_o his_o perfect_a happiness_n have_v a_o power_n to_o perform_v what_o ever_o may_v have_v be_v by_o god_n command_v for_o without_o such_o a_o power_n mankind_n in_o adam_n can_v not_o to_o say_v a_o man_n by_o mean_n of_o such_o a_o thing_n have_v power_n to_o exâ—â—â—â—â—_n such_o a_o work_n though_o by_o that_o thing_n be_v be_v never_o the_o near_a execution_n thereof_o by_o this_o you_o seem_v to_o nullify_v that_o power_n in_o respect_n of_o enable_v to_o a_o act_n which_o you_o call_v a_o power_n to_o act_v again_o you_o say_v he_o have_v a_o executive_a power_n to_o do_v though_o that_o power_n be_v defective_a touch_v do_v but_o that_o which_o be_v defective_a in_o order_n to_o a_o act_n can_v be_v a_o power_n to_o act_v for_o a_o power_n to_o act_n be_v inconsistent_a with_o defectivenesse_n or_o want_v of_o power_n power_n and_o want_v of_o power_n be_v contrary_n but_o for_o brevity_n sake_n i_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o grant_v the_o utmost_a extent_n of_o your_o instance_n viz._n a_o penurious_a rich_a man_n have_v such_o a_o power_n in_o he_o in_o order_n to_o act_n of_o liberality_n as_o a_o infant_n have_v principle_n of_o reason_n
