only_a beget_v son_n that_o whosoever_o believe_v in_o he_o shall_v not_o perish_v etc._n etc._n god_n love_v the_o world_n say_v the_o text_n that_o be_v the_o whole_a lump_n of_o mankind_n therefore_o he_o do_v not_o absolute_o hate_v the_o great_a part_n of_o man_n again_o god_n love_v it_o fall_v into_o a_o gulf_n of_o sin_n and_o misery_n for_o he_o so_o love_v they_o as_o to_o send_v his_o son_n to_o redeem_v they_o and_o a_o saviour_n presuppose_v sin_n he_o do_v not_o therefore_o hate_v the_o most_o of_o they_o lie_v in_o the_o fall_n for_o love_n and_o hatred_n be_v of_o scripture_n allege_v wherein_o this_o word_n world_n especial_o with_o the_o addition_n of_o whole_a as_o 1._o epist_n of_o joh._n cap._n 2._o v._n 2._o he_o place_v equivalent_a to_o this_o for_o the_o matter_n of_o it_o and_o a_o comment_n upon_o it_o i_o say_v no_o place_n i_o think_v can_v be_v produce_v where_o world_n do_v signify_v only_o the_o elect_n or_o only_a believer_n but_o it_o signifi_v either_o all_o man_n or_o at_o least_o the_o most_o man_n live_v in_o some_o certain_a place_n and_o at_o some_o certain_a time_n but_o without_o distinction_n of_o good_a and_o bad_a or_o if_o it_o be_v use_v any_o where_n more_o restrayned_o it_o be_v apply_v only_o to_o wicked_a and_o reprobate_a man_n who_o in_o their_o affection_n be_v wed_v to_o the_o world_n and_o its_o transitory_a delight_n and_o therefore_o do_v most_o proper_o deserve_v this_o name_n 2_o suppose_v it_o be_v grant_v that_o world_n in_o some_o scripture_n be_v restrain_v to_o the_o elect_n yet_o it_o can_v bear_v this_o signification_n here_o because_o 1_o the_o word_n than_o will_v have_v a_o senseless_a construction_n for_o thus_o will_v they_o run_v god_n so_o love_v the_o elect_n that_o whosoever_o believe_v in_o he_o shall_v not_o perish_v etc._n etc._n and_o if_o they_o run_v thus_o this_o will_v follow_v there_o be_v two_o sort_n of_o the_o elect_n some_o that_o do_v believe_v and_o shall_v be_v save_v other_o that_o do_v not_o believe_v and_o shall_v be_v damn_v which_o be_v a_o division_n or_o distinction_n unknown_a in_o divinity_n 2_o believer_n and_o unbeliever_n damn_a and_o save_v comprehend_v all_o mankind_n for_o there_o be_v no_o man_n but_o he_o be_v one_o of_o these_o now_o world_n in_o this_o place_n include_v believer_n and_o unbeliever_n the_o save_v and_o the_o damn_a as_o appear_v most_o plain_o to_o he_o that_o lay_v the_o 16_o 17._o and_o 18._o verse_n together_o therefore_o it_o signifi_v here_o all_o mankind_n without_o exception_n of_o any_o who_o will_v have_v all_o to_o be_v save_v 4_o â—_o tim._n â—_o 4_o and_o to_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n in_o these_o word_n the_o apostle_n deliver_v two_o thing_n 1_o that_o it_o be_v god_n will_v that_o man_n shall_v enjoy_v a_o happy_a end_n and_o be_v save_v 2_o that_o it_o be_v also_o his_o will_n they_o shall_v have_v the_o mean_n and_o make_v a_o good_a use_n of_o they_o in_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n that_o so_o they_o may_v be_v save_v there_o be_v no_o let_v in_o god_n but_o that_o all_o man_n may_v believe_v and_o be_v save_v will_v have_v all_o to_o be_v save_v as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v our_o charity_n must_v reach_v to_o all_o who_o god_n extend_v his_o love_n to_o god_n out_o of_o his_o love_n will_v have_v all_o to_o be_v save_v and_o therefore_o in_o charity_n we_o must_v pray_v for_o all_o now_o in_o the_o duty_n all_o signifi_v every_o man_n for_o no_o man_n though_o wicked_a and_o profane_a be_v to_o be_v include_v from_o our_o prayer_n pray_v for_o they_o say_v our_o saviour_n that_o persecute_v you_o and_o pray_v say_v the_o apostle_n here_o for_o king_n and_o all_o that_o be_v in_o authority_n man_n in_o those_o day_n though_o the_o great_a yet_o the_o worst_a the_o very_a lion_n wolf_n and_o bear_n of_o the_o church_n pray_v for_o they_o and_o if_o for_o they_o then_o for_o any_o other_o thus_o in_o the_o duty_n it_o signify_v every_o man_n and_o therefore_o it_o must_v have_v the_o same_o extent_n in_o the_o motive_n too_o or_o else_o the_o motive_n do_v not_o reach_v home_o nor_o be_v strong_a enough_o to_o enforce_v the_o duty_n the_o second_o answer_n be_v that_o god_n will_v have_v all_o to_o be_v save_v with_o his_o reveal_v will_n but_o million_o to_o be_v damn_v with_o his_o secret_a will_n but_o if_o this_o answer_n stand_v than_o in_o my_o apprehension_n these_o inconvenience_n will_v follow_v 1_o that_o god_n word_n which_o be_v his_o revealed_z will_n be_v not_o interpretation_n of_o his_o mind_n and_o meaning_n and_o by_o consequence_n be_v not_o true_a for_o the_o speech_n which_o be_v not_o the_o signification_n of_o the_o mind_n be_v a_o lie_n 2_o that_o there_o be_v two_o contrary_a will_n in_o god_n a_o secret_a will_n that_o many_o son_n of_o adam_n shall_v irrevocable_o be_v damn_v and_o a_o reveal_v will_n that_o all_o the_o son_n of_o adam_n may_v be_v save_v 3_o that_o one_o of_o god_n will_n must_v needs_o be_v bad_a either_o the_o secret_a or_o the_o reveal_v will_n for_o of_o contrary_n if_o the_o one_o be_v good_a the_o other_o be_v bad_a and_o so_o of_o god_n contrary_a will_n if_o one_o be_v good_a the_o other_o must_v needs_o be_v bad_a for_o malum_fw-la est_fw-la contrarium_fw-la bono_fw-mi â—_o 〈◊〉_d 3._o â—_o not_o willing_a that_o any_o shall_v perish_v but_o that_o all_o shall_v come_v to_o repentance_n etc._n etc._n this_o scripture_n be_v not_o so_o liable_a to_o the_o exception_n against_o the_o former_a testimony_n for_o it_o be_v a_o negative_a proposition_n and_o must_v be_v take_v distributive_o and_o therefore_o speak_v that_o in_o plain_a term_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o absolute_a reprobation_n
