on_o his_o own_o word_n so_o faithful_o speak_v be_v our_o misery_n though_o in_o itself_o a_o mystery_n must_v it_o be_v a_o wonder_n for_o hungry_a creature_n to_o eat_v the_o bread_n set_v before_o they_o and_o for_o beggar_n to_o take_v the_o alm_n offer_v they_o yet_o the_o holy_a ghost_n make_v this_o a_o mystery_n that_o we_o believe_v on_o jesus_n christ_n what_o shall_v shame_v we_o more_o than_o this_o that_o we_o have_v not_o a_o hand_n to_o take_v in_o our_o own_o happiness_n can_v swallow_v down_o a_o drop_n of_o the_o water_n of_o life_n except_o it_o be_v pour_v in_o we_o what_o flesh_n come_v in_o a_o sensible_a and_o demonstrative_a way_n of_o love_n and_o glory_n to_o woo_v poor_a sinner_n and_o yet_o they_o will_v not_o believe_v be_v you_o not_o yet_o ashamed_a what_o shall_v god_n present_v his_o own_o heart_n in_o blood_n to_o you_o and_o yet_o you_o will_v not_o receive_v it_o christ_n be_v come_v as_o justification_n and_o righteousness_n with_o peace_n and_o sweetness_n and_o yet_o man_n will_v not_o believe_v this_o be_v most_o unreasonable_a and_o wicked_a 2._o use_v have_v not_o slight_a thought_n of_o believe_a it_o be_v not_o a_o ordinary_a work_n man_n think_v it_o be_v nothing_o to_o believe_v if_o a_o man_n do_v but_o live_v under_o the_o gospel_n and_o have_v a_o general_a profession_n of_o it_o he_o think_v he_o be_v a_o believer_n oh_o know_v faith_n be_v the_o high_a work_n of_o a_o christian_a that_o which_o be_v the_o act_n of_o a_o mystery_n if_o thou_o do_v but_o know_v thy_o own_o heart_n and_o see_v thy_o sin_n thou_o will_v wonder_v how_o ever_o thou_o come_v to_o believe_v on_o jesus_n christ_n there_o be_v a_o common_a faith_n indeed_o which_o the_o world_n have_v but_o it_o be_v not_o worthy_a the_o name_n of_o faith_n a_o faith_n which_o be_v mere_o historical_a and_o traditional_a but_o for_o the_o faith_n here_o speak_v of_o the_o faith_n of_o god_n elect_n that_o be_v another_o manner_n of_o work_n thou_o will_v find_v it_o a_o mystery_n for_o thou_o to_o believe_v on_o jesus_n christ_n it_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n for_o man_n to_o say_v they_o believe_v when_o they_o see_v neither_o sin_n nor_o christ_n but_o have_v thou_o ever_o have_v but_o a_o aspect_n into_o thy_o own_o sinful_a nature_n and_o a_o right_a knowledge_n of_o thy_o wretched_a state_n then_o tell_v i_o whether_o faith_n brink_n of_o hell_n to_o leap_v into_o christ_n bosom_n and_o such_o a_o proud_a heart_n as_o thou_o have_v to_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v at_o the_o dispose_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o make_v a_o total_a resignation_n of_o self_n and_o all_o interest_n to_o christ_n yea_o though_o thou_o may_v enjoy_v they_o this_o be_v faith_n and_o a_o great_a mystery_n therefore_o deceive_v not_o thy_o own_o heart_n 3._o use_v let_v we_o from_o hence_o see_v what_o be_v the_o great_a thing_n the_o gospel_n require_v of_o we_o it_o be_v to_o believe_v all_o be_v sum_v up_o in_o this_o all_o the_o himself_o to_o we_o it_o be_v a_o take_a hold_n of_o all_o that_o christ_n do_v and_o have_v for_o we_o and_o give_v we_o the_o actual_a enjoyment_n of_o it_o god_n require_v no_o more_o of_o we_o
