procure_v to_o ourselves_o what_o god_n hold_v out_o in_o a_o promise_n yet_o when_o by_o faith_n we_o look_v at_o god_n as_o a_o god_n all-sufficient_a and_o omnipotent_a to_o give_v a_o be_v to_o his_o own_o word_n this_o put_v much_o honour_n upon_o god_n and_o thus_o do_v abraham_n glorify_v god_n by_o his_o faith_n rom._n 4.18_o 19_o 20_o 21._o and_o so_o do_v all_o such_o as_o tread_v in_o the_o step_n of_o faithful_a abraham_n they_o glorify_v the_o free_a grace_n and_o power_n and_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n therefore_o god_n will_v have_v the_o just_a live_v by_o his_o faith_n god_n will_v put_v much_o honour_n upon_o that_o grace_n that_o put_v so_o much_o honour_n upon_o god_n faith_n three_o sort_n of_o reason_n from_o the_o nature_n and_o use_n of_o faith_n the_o three_o sort_n of_o reason_n be_v draw_v from_o the_o nature_n and_o use_v of_o faith_n livelihood_n 1._o it_o be_v our_o livelihood_n first_o therefore_o a_o believer_n live_v by_o faith_n because_o a_o believe_v lay_n hold_v upon_o the_o word_n of_o life_n as_o have_v be_v partly_o show_v already_o the_o word_n of_o promise_n the_o promise_n of_o free_a grace_n for_o by_o every_o word_n that_o proceed_v out_o of_o the_o mouth_n of_o god_n do_v man_n live_v matth._n 4.4_o yet_o not_o upon_o the_o word_n of_o promise_n separate_v from_o the_o thing_n promise_v it_o be_v true_a once_o god_n say_v do_v this_o and_o live_v now_o he_o say_v believe_v this_o and_o live_v when_o god_n say_v do_v this_o and_o live_v suppose_v man_n have_v do_v what_o god_n require_v yet_o he_o have_v not_o live_v by_o merit_n of_o his_o obedience_n rom._n 4.7_o as_o calvin_n well_o observe_v in_o his_o sermon_n of_o abraham_n faith_n but_o by_o virtue_n of_o god_n gracious_a promise_n annex_v to_o his_o shall_v live_v but_o in_o the_o latter_a god_n require_v faith_n in_o christ_n and_o in_o christ_n crucify_v and_o in_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o free_a grace_n which_o be_v yea_o and_o amen_o in_o christ_n second_o they_o differ_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o principle_n of_o faith_n for_o the_o first_o kind_n of_o faith_n man_n have_v by_o the_o grace_n of_o creation_n viz._n power_n to_o give_v credit_n to_o god_n in_o what_o he_o speak_v but_o the_o second_o kind_n of_o faith_n a_o man_n have_v not_o but_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o regeneration_n it_o be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n to_o believe_v in_o a_o crucify_a saviour_n and_o so_o the_o covenant_n still_o savour_v of_o more_o grace_n because_o the_o just_a life_n by_o this_o latter_a kind_n of_o faith_n lay_v hold_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o life_n upon_o the_o promise_n of_o free_a grace_n for_o this_o be_v the_o proper_a act_n of_o justify_v faith_n now_o by_o promise_n god_n make_v himself_o a_o debtor_n though_o he_o be_v none_o before_o and_o faith_n put_v the_o promise_n in_o suit_n thereupon_o god_n pay_v his_o debt_n and_o this_o be_v the_o creature_n livelihood_n and_o therefore_o the_o just_a must_v needs_o live_v by_o his_o faith_n second_o god_n will_v have_v his_o people_n live_v by_o faith_n unbelief_n 2._o we_o fall_v by_o unbelief_n because_o we_o first_o fall_v away_o and_o depart_v from_o god_n by_o unbelief_n and_o distrust_n our_o first_o parent_n will_v not_o give_v credit_n to_o god_n when_o he_o say_v 3._o gen._n 3._o in_o the_o day_n thou_o eat_v of_o the_o forbid_a fruit_n thou_o
