often_o say_v even_o compel_v thereunto_o partly_o to_o repress_v the_o insolence_n of_o those_o that_o labour_v to_o undermine_v his_o authority_n and_o partly_o to_o quit_v and_o clear_v himself_o of_o such_o false_a cavi_fw-la lation_n as_o be_v lay_v against_o he_o and_o partly_o to_o confirm_v such_o weak_a brethren_n as_o such_o argument_n of_o commendation_n may_v somewhat_o prevail_v with_o thus_o than_o we_o see_v that_o the_o child_n of_o god_n warrant_v by_o the_o example_n of_o the_o apostle_n may_v speak_v even_o free_o of_o such_o blessing_n as_o the_o lord_n in_o mercy_n towards_o they_o have_v bestow_v upon_o they_o above_o other_o of_o their_o brethren_n but_o may_v they_o in_o every_o case_n and_o upon_o every_o occasion_n break_v forth_o into_o their_o own_o praise_n no_o certain_o they_o may_v not_o but_o only_o in_o some_o case_n as_o 1._o when_o they_o be_v so_o vilify_v and_o disgrace_v and_o discountenance_v their_o authority_n so_o impeach_v their_o gift_n so_o nullify_v their_o person_n so_o contemn_v as_o that_o thereby_o not_o only_a themselves_o be_v just_o offend_v but_o god_n name_n likewise_o dishonour_v then_o may_v they_o even_o boast_v themselves_o of_o such_o mercy_n outward_a or_o inward_a as_o the_o lord_n have_v vouchsafe_v unto_o they_o so_o our_o apostle_n do_v when_o the_o false_a apostle_n labour_v to_o disgrace_v he_o with_o the_o corinthian_n and_o the_o galathian_o as_o have_v no_o authority_n no_o gift_n of_o knowledge_n or_o eloquence_n 2._o when_o they_o see_v that_o the_o proud_a insolency_n of_o their_o adversary_n that_o exalt_v themselves_o against_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n can_v otherwise_o be_v repress_v so_o our_o apostle_n do_v when_o the_o false_a apostle_n do_v so_o insolent_o brag_v as_o if_o they_o have_v all_o knowledge_n and_o all_o wisdom_n and_o all_o understanding_n 3._o when_o they_o which_o otherwise_o shall_v give_v they_o that_o testimony_n which_o be_v due_a unto_o they_o do_v it_o not_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n require_v it_o then_o may_v they_o break_v out_o into_o their_o own_o praise_n and_o this_o our_o apostle_n show_v to_o be_v one_o cause_n why_o he_o boast_v himself_o where_o he_o say_v 12.11_o 2_o cor._n 12.11_o i_o be_v a_o fool_n to_o have_v boast_v myself_o but_o you_o have_v compel_v i_o for_o i_o ought_v to_o have_v be_v commend_v of_o you_o what_o we_o be_v to_o respect_v in_o the_o practice_n of_o every_o christian_a virtue_n namely_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o propagation_n of_o his_o truth_n for_o as_o our_o saviour_n say_v of_o alm_n prayer_n fast_v and_o the_o like_a 6._o math._n 6._o that_o if_o they_o be_v do_v for_o the_o praise_n of_o man_n than_o they_o have_v their_o praise_n but_o not_o with_o god_n so_o may_v it_o be_v say_v of_o the_o practice_n of_o every_o christian_a virtue_n that_o if_o therein_o we_o respect_v the_o praise_n of_o man_n we_o have_v our_o praise_n but_o not_o with_o god_n the_o thing_n that_o we_o must_v aim_v at_o in_o the_o practice_n of_o gentleness_n goodness_n meekness_n temperancy_n moderation_n patience_n and_o other_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o we_o be_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n that_o man_n see_v these_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o we_o they_o may_v be_v bring_v unto_o the_o same_o obedience_n and_o service_n of_o one_o god_n with_o us._n and_o thus_o it_o
